The Lerners, owners of the Nationals, were big-time friends of the obozo administration. And half the fan base are lawyers and lobbyists. That being said, I’m a big fan of Scherzer and Zimmerman and DC has not won a World Series since ... 1923? So why not the Nationals? But they have a tall task in front of them.
