".... Who plays video games with an 8yr old at 2:30 in the morning? What the hell was wrong with her?...."

Last time I checked, this is still a free country. If you want to play video games in the middle of the night in your own home, it is not a crime. Maybe her nephew couldn't sleep. When I can't sleep, I sometimes get up and play solitaire on my computer to get sleepy. Whatever the reason, she didn't deserve to die for doing nothing illegal in her own house.

Why would you think there was something "wrong" with her? She didn't do anything wrong. The cop did.

These cops were supposed to be checking on her welfare because a neighbor called and was concerned.

Shooting her dead through an open window without ever knocking on the door to check to see if everything was okay, is not a welfare check, it is murder.

Maybe 2nd degree murder or even voluntary manslaughter. But they failed to do their job properly and this poor woman is dead because of it.

Don't try to place the blame on the innocent woman. The cop was the one with the gun and he killed her. What was wrong with HIM?

Please learn Texas law, we don’t have degrees of murder we have did your actions intentionally kill someone or was your actions negligent and they resulted in someones death. Prior thoughts not even admissible in court. Murder is the willfully death of a person that’s it shooting someone has tome and time again been held as willful that’s all TEXAS law cares about. We don’t care about what your state says the only way to get down to homicide is to prove your actions were negligent and pointing a gun at someone and pulling the trigger has never ever been held as negligent. I’m a LEO vet amd consult as a pistol instructor for CHL classes I have a hard printed copy of the Texas penal code on my nightstand so I’m gonna stand by keep you states laws out of my Texas we handle things fine here.
