Not even a liberal woman would be attracted to that.

It would seem to me that masculinity should be defined as what women actually are attracted to. What is masculinity or femininity if not designed to attract the opposite sex?

True, there are some women who seem afraid of very masculine men and prefer soft, small, weak muscled men. There are men who are attracted to women who are kind of butchy in dress and behavior.

Most women want men who are strong enough to handle some things that she cannot or does not want to do. Most men prefer who are clean and well-groomed with a bit of makeup and maybe once a year put on a dress.

This strange definition of masculinity being men who are trying to look like women total eludes me.

The role of the man, throughout history, was to be the one who would support and protect his woman and their children. Thus, the definition of "masculine" should be guided by what characteristics would promote and advance that role.
