Thanks you for informative and experienced comments. Since you grow you own that sounds much safer and better! I know cottonseed cake is very good livestock feed (I mean I have read that!).

I take back my blanket condemnation!

Also any oil that is solvent extracted I would avoid; I would only use pressed oil anyway of any kind. I avoid any cooked oil due to some other reason and eat milk fat as my fat intake (butter, ghee).

We do grow cotton but the oil comes from the cooperative oil mill which includes all member’s seed. Just to be clear. The same oil I have used as long as I have had a source, probably 30 years. PYCO Industries in Lubbock, Texas is our cooperative that produces the oil we buy.
