Pedophile brain surgeon, 58, accused of raping multiple children and running a sex ring with two nurses is found dead in his prison cell after 'taking his own life'
- Neurosurgeon James Kohut, 58, who was accused of raping multiple children, was found dead in his prison cell in California on Sunday
- Kohut and two nurses, Emily Joy Stephens and Rashel Melina Brando, were arrested in 2017 on suspicion of running a child-sex ring
- In October prosecutors said they discovered two hours of footage showing the three raping children, some who were as young as three
- Kohut had affairs with both Stephens and Brandon and he directed them to engage in sex acts with their victims, including Stephens' children
- Text messages also reveal how the group spoke of having more children for a 'taboo family,' where they would all have sexual relations
