I have noticed that her type, which we are seeing more and more of in government, academia, culture, and the media, all talk and act the same way. They all have the same concepts, use the same words, throw the same kind of tantrums. I have acquaintances who are “progressives” and they are the same way and, while they have always been liberals, they have not been kooky leftists until recently. One of them, who is actually a very nice lady and fun to be with as long as politics don’t come up, took her leap when Obama hit the scene. Her son-in-law worked for Organizing for America, so maybe he’s responsible. It’s like there has been some kind of massive brainwashing and it reminds me of behavior typical of members of cults.
I think it has something to do with their perception of lack of respect. They have not gotten what they think is their fair share. Of course, your not divvied out respect, you earn it.
...And if you don’t get it, they perceive that you have not recognized that they deserve it. So it becomes their mission to drill that error into your worthless hide...Ahem...
Perhaps, they can’t accept the fact that, at this time, they don’t deserve it.
