I'm in my mid 50s and I've never had one of those "game consoles" in my home. When my kids grew up , there were forbidden. But now I see that there are online games that don't require a console?

I might get some flack for saying this but I think it's rather sad to see a grown man playing at these games.

Not a "good look" guys.

You can use a PC to play a lot of games as well. To be honest the use of a video game console is a bit redundant giving the advances in computing technology, but consoles have exclusive titles to keep themselves going.

I was a kid in the 80s and 90s and people were complaining about their teenage son playing too much Quake or Unreal Tournament, but it’s on the parents to set limits. I guess it’s easier to get sucked in since gaming is a lot more mainstream and less of a geeky thing now than it was back then.

I stopped around my mid 20s for the most part because things like relationships and having a family are more important than keeping up to date with increasingly mediocre video games.

I play video games (as you might be able to tell from my handle) but I also do other things like read books, do martial arts and go swimming. If you cannot handle an activity without becoming addicted and doing it too much, it says more about your flawed charectar than it does about whatever it is that you get addicted too.
