that’s complete bullshit: you have no way of knowing whether he’ll have side-effects or not ...
Any and all heart, BP and cholesterol issues need to be monitored. If you start having side effects from a med like a statin, then with the help of your doctor you try something else. I’m saying he should probably trust his doctor on this, instead of advice on FR or any other forum.
Side effects from statins? Not really. Unless you consider life saving a side effect.
