Pry open your wallet and upgrade to a new PC with Win 10. Do this before the Linux nerds hijack this thread and shame you for using an MS operating system. In my experience, Win 10 is near flawless for the average user when running a system designed for Win 10 with software designed for Win 10.
Lol, too late... But It wasn’t me who started it this time.
I guess you don't do the kind of work where having your PC reboot itself because Microsoft just launched the umpteenth upgrade and it needed a reboot isn't a real problem. Nothing like coming in to work in the morning and seeing that the programs you left running the night before all got terminated and your PC rebooted.
And I have always found it "flawless" to have to sit around in the middle of the work week while my PC spins up to 100% of disk usage during some Microsoft update and I can't get anything done.
Windows 10 costs the average person using their computer for work thousands of dollars per year in lost productivity.
I bought a 10 a couple years ago. Tried it. Hated it. Put it back in the box. Six months later, tried it again and hated it more. Rinse and repeat. Hubby’s Linux died so he got the 10 out of the box and... hates it. I saw him running updates yesterday that took all day long and he says it usually does.
Last time at the repair shop, the guy said most all his customers hate 10 so much that he’s refurbishing 7s. He had a few 7s on the shelf but told me mine was better (knock on wood).
