The Hank Williams Story
Lots of rare footage in this fantastic film about the life of Hank Williams. Worth watching just for the duets between Hank and Kate Smith and Hank and Anita Carter.

Mexicans still do that.
I agree with what you said. Made Kris Kristofferson out to be one of the stalwarts of county music. He was OK, wrote some good songs but really?
I plan to watch it.
It’s really good, a lot of home movies of Hank never seen before.
PBS just finished an eight part series on County Music from
1933 -1996. It was very interesting if you are a fan of the
music over its history.
I stumbled on it by accident and didn’t get to see all the
eight part series covering 16 hours.
Link to the series but you have to be a member of PBS I think.

The follow is an Interesting read as to what is covered during the segments.

I just watched this and it was pretty damned good.
I know right, really detailed, I couldn’t believe it was on Youtube.
