Currently, in addition to serving as a county elected officer, Assessor Petersen serves as the President of the Arizona Association of Assessing Officers (AAAO) and Past President of the Arizona Association of Counties (AACO). He is also serving as an appointee to the National Association of Counties (NACO) Finance, Pensions, and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee and to the International Association of Assessing Officer (IAAO) on the Legal Task force.
