“A woman who follows this advice wont have to worry about relationshipsthe man she wants will be long gone after the second or third date.”
BS, I know my 2 nieces well. They basically followed these 8 rules. Married two great, quality guys in their mid 20’s.
Not so far-fetched these days.
The results of the Great American Experiment of are in: man is indeed capable of self-governance.
Unfortunately, the experiment also shows the same can not be said for women.

I am also happily married, but I am a Christian and my wife is, too.
What is mentioned in this article is completely reasonable and keeps the women from abusing the men, as well. It is what my wife and I effectively followed.
When my wife and I first got together, one of the things that impressed me about her is that she bought a round of drinks at my going away party from where we worked at the time back in 1981. She was also beautiful, had a great sense of humor and was interested in me! A woman offering to pay is a good thing, at least for me it is!
What a bunch of polyannish, idealized, fairy tale crap.
The Seven Year Itch was a comedy about adultry, and was produced in 1953.
The first issue of Playboy magazine came out in 1955.
People then behaved just as they do today, the only difference is that today there is less public 'taboo' on perverted behavior, so it is more out in the open.
Like it or not, when your parents were teenagers, they were just as horny as you were when you were a teenager.
Under the... Tradition I was raised in, One was married to the one you had sex with, One Flesh meant One Flesh. If you have sex with 4 people, you are bound forever to each one of them, ‘til death do us part. The ceremony, Church Vows, etc. were all window dressing on a central indelible fact.
You are absolutely totally wrong.
Of Course there has always been stealing, adultery etc. but it is far far worse now. Not even close.
Ladies, stop chasing men and being so available to them. Youre killing your chances for a relationship that lasts. Men are hunters: they love to go after whatever it is they want, and they wont value what they havent earned....He will hunt you down. Your job is simply to say yes or no.
That would have been great advice before the #metoo era. Now, any man who doesn't interpret the first "no" (verbal or non-verbal) as a permanent prohibition may find himself becoming an internet meme or worse.
Glad I'm married and done with all that crap for good. Just hope my son hangs on to the girl he's got so he doesn't have to take that risk either.
Women need to be more forward -- not necessarily sexually, but to let the guy know that an advance is okay -- or a lot of good guys are going to decide the risk isn't worth it.
Seven year itch was 1955, and Playboy's first issue was in 1953.
I was born in 1959.
What does that have to do with anything?
This goes back a long way but is still true today. Rule #9 should be “Be honest with him if you can’t or won’t commit”. The idea that it is only men who have trouble making a commitment has always been a myth put forward by women.
In the 1950s women were _much_ smarter—most of them understood that they could do what they wanted _if_ they were discreet about it.
If their behavior became common knowledge they were shunned as “sluts”.
Today the presumption is that all young women are sluts.
Of course (as with any presumption) it is not always correct, but a young man is foolish if he presumes that “this time” he has met a Unicorn.
The only way around this mess would be to date folks you have known since childhood in your community. Sheltered communities (like the Amish or Hasidic Jews) understand this dynamic—and in that type of environment this article makes sense.
But—in the wild—fuggedaboutit.
With all the loose women available, I don’t see how a woman would keep a man interested if she’s not putting out.
Just my $.02
I’m an old-timer. I think it just happens. A couple meet, something clicks, and they keep going out, and then they get married.
And you should know within about 2 or 3 months whether or not it clicked. And you should know fairly quickly whether something is affecting you.
I don't think #40 is really keeping any secrets.
Ah, lovely girl. So to speak. 44 appears to be having some reservations...
The problem with this is that too many women in the female legion are weak links and won’t go along with this.
The truth is that women already have all they need if they want to make men behave better by altering their conduct as a group, but too many women will break ranks. They don’t have a unified front.
Man that’s funny! LOLOL!
