He did have a few supporters here back then, but not many. I think there is now more realization that it is better to have someone who agrees with you 70% of the time, and fights like hell, than someone who nominally agrees with you all the time, and does nothing.
Ah, yes, I remember it well. I was a Rudy supporter back then but usually kept my mouth shut 'cause good Freepers were being zotted left and right. It was all about whether you cared or did not care about Rudy wearing a dress one Halloween.
