CA rents skyrocketed.
This is not an isolated incident.
A small 1-bdrm is $2000 in LA, not in the best part of town, just an average location.
Friends remodeled their garage and it rents for 1000 in San Diego. It pays their old mortgage.

I live in Bakersfield and have a beautiful 10x12 tuff shed that has a futon, large screen tv, and video game system in it for the grandkids. I use it for an office when I’m really busy. Maybe I should add a bathroom and rent it out! lol

btw, the guy that spearheaded the 'Tiny House' craze was slaughtered in the ME along with his girlfriend. They thought it would be a good idea to bicycle through those 3rd world sh*thole countries to show that us mean westernized people vilify the savages unnecessarily. I don't think that plan worked out too well. They were plowed over by a vehicle driven by a ROP type. oops.
