Forgiving the repentant is a command, forgiving the unrepentant is a choice.
Well put. Thank you.

That is not true!
Yes it is. Luke 17:4. Read it for yourself.

Matthew 5:7
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Matthew 7:2
For with the same judgment you pronounce, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Matthew 18:35
That is how My Heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart.”
Mark 11:25
And when you stand to pray, if you hold anything against another, forgive it, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your trespasses as well.”
Luke 6:37
Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
Ephesians 4:32
Be kind and tender-hearted to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.
Colossians 3:13
Bear with each other and forgive any complaint you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
Luke 17:4 Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying I repent, you must forgive them.
Forgiveness to the repentant is a commandment. Forgiveness to the unrepentant is an option.

“The scripture is clear that if we are unwilling to forgive those that trespass us, God cannot forgive us...”
We were not murdered. It is not a trespass against us or anyone alive.
We cannot forgive for someone else.
“No we can forgive even murder...”
Impossible. See above.
From the Daily Mail article here
Thanks.
YES, I have Book, Chapter and verses......”For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” MATT. 6: 14-15
So Matthew is contradicting Luke?

Someone beat me to it? Phooey.
Enjoy the reading.
Forgiveness is not for the benefit of the one being forgiven.
Forgiveness removes the bitterness, the grudge, the hate, so that you can put things behind you.
Maybe the guy despised his brother ? ??
Forgiveness removes the bitterness, the grudge, the hate, so that you can put things behind you.
Right until the unrepentant sinner f**** you over again. Then youre bitter and you feel stupid.

If so, she'll shut up and serve her time without complaint.
And thank the State of Texas that it was only 10 years in prison and not 99.
And thank God it wasn't eternity in hell.
OK
Hmm, did they? Didn’t see it.
I came to check that this was posted! So glad to see it was you who did. But I want to point out he said that he was only speaking for himself, his mom might still want to strangle that woman and I can’t say I wouldn’t feel the same.
But this man, taking this opportunity (because of course he knows this is being watched by his whole city and in the country and around the world) to say what he did is truly a miracle of Christ.
I honestly think this is one of the most important and wonderful things that has ever happened in our nation, even the world, and I can only question will it gain any traction between Orange Man Bad and no straws for you!
Thanks again for posting it. And folks should watch the video.
Go find the video and watch it. I know you can see it on Instapundit and I’m sure Twitchy too. This woman’s attorneys mounted a vigorous defense on her part, which is what they should do, but I believe she has shown remorse from the start.
