I watched the first couple skits; they have slanted it so heavily toward politics that some of the “jokes” went over the heads of the uninformed audience.
It’s pretty bad when you can’t make people laugh who are there voluntarily.

SNL has always done politics, but it was more even-handed.

I always think of the “Master Brain” skit with the late Phil Hartman, as Reagan, that was a classic. Or Dana Carvey’s George Bush.
