1. What you call a self-promoter may or may not be one; your mere accusation certainly has no credibility.
2. Such do not “need” to be discouraged. You may feel a compulsive, obsessive need to discourage them, but that is your problem.
Instead of leaving a thread to those of us who want to address the actual topic, you high-jack the thread to promote yourself with off-topic, and often vulgar, sometimes genuinely obscene, trollery.
