When I was being trained up as a USMC infantryman, I was taught the Rule of 5 for POWs.
For every enemy we took prisoner, the US Army got another 5 star recreational facility, the US Navy got another 5 gallons of KY Jelly per ship issued and the US Air Force got another 5 tons of air-conditioning per barracks and the Marines lost 5 men off the field of battle to guard the guy.
I don’t remember that one, but that’s the truth of it.
Marines were so bad, 5000 japenese committed suicide @ Saipan...saving us the trouble.
