It is still ambiguous to me ... it’s days after Comey firing (based on rationale provided to POTUS by RR) and when McCabe was pressing to get the “Russia” investigation. It reads well from standpoint of plausible deniability if Mule + RR are not black hats, reads nefarious the other way. In context with McCabe things I sway that it’s nothing out of the unexpected ... but I never know! TBD ;)
Possibly not Trump, but Sessions. They (RR & Mueller) were meeting with Sessions the very next morning. Sessions was “the boss”, albeit recused. Trump would not be expected to know of the subject that caused RR to caution Mueller about the boss not knowing.
