Did you see the comment thread that followed, about the term, prosecution declined?
One poster in comments, wonders if ALL these declined prosecutions, by the JUSTICE DEPARTMENT, (against these individual perps) means the JD is going to use RICO to round them ALL up?

Good point. I recall hearing that early on - RICO to get everyone in the system and to show the public it’s systemic, not “rogue operators”. Supposedly how they took down Capone?
Capone got it via the IRS. RICO came about in 1970

Glad to see RICO more closely defined. That was helpful.
However, CAPONE was brought down on basic tax fraud, or tax evasion, since they couldn’t get him on bloody murders, and I don’t remember about RICO, except that it is so frequently used against crime that is organized = as associated with charges against Mafia.
They toyed with using RICO against pro-Life orgs, one year, when Randy so and so was leading a charge of protests against PP.
Thanks very, for the reasoning behind RICO.
Capone was taxes, Rico was enacted later.
This fits nicely with what Devin Nunes has been saying; he mentions conspiracy, which I presume is handled legally the same - a catch-all net. Conspiracy to commit treason would fit the bill!
