i really think this is exactly what happened. Like Rush said they never expected Trump to put the transcript out. They were gonna lather this whole thing up on the whistleblower hearsay that they concocted, similar to how they tried to manufacture Christine Blasey Ford.

They believed Schiff and company’s version of what happened so they did not expect the transcript to be so LEGAL. The Dems went forward anyway because they were all in by then. Although, apparently Nancy knew what was in the transcript ahead of time,,,wonder which version.
