Oh, I absolutely understand and agree. They are creating mindless tech dependent minions. They are kidnapping our next generations right under our noses and we are letting them do it. Toys are now a priority over our own children.
Dish Network sent me a new remote that has Alexa installed......I didn’t activate the batteries and stuffed in in a drawer.
What scares me is the thing that can translate thoughts into speech. Great for someone who is mute, but think what a government (like Red China) could do with THAT, combined with facial recognition technology!

My wife won an Alexa in a raffle years ago; she connected it, the kids played with it a while, and within a couple of hours it was disconnected and tucked away in a drawer (never to re-emerge). Just creepy stuff...
Why for the totalitarian-leaning intel community/swamp, as well as purveyors of purveying? That’s easy.
But why for consumers? I continue to be flummoxed by that. It seems as if there may be no limits to the degree of supposed “convenience” that may drive an appalling number of people.
