First step - stop watching news programs.
They are no longer “news” but propaganda.
Personally I find freerepublic helpful in keeping up with what is going on and the freepers comments often separate the wheat from the chafe
Great advice. I have to keep telling my sister to stop watching cable and network news, and just rely on on FR. It’s the only intelligent and sane method of being informed.
