Hmm. Sounds like Islam. In fact, one of the Hadiths said Muhammad did something very much like that: spared a pregnant adulteress's life until she gave birth ---- and then again, until the baby as weaned --- and then, he had her buried in dirt up to waist, and had everybody come with rocks and bricks to stone her.

This is told as an example of the mercifulness of Muhammad.

Not what I'd call impressive.

In Christianity, God doesn't want your death. He wants your repentance. He wants you to regret and detest your wrongdoing, to confess your sin, to ask forgiveness, and to atone for the wrong you have done, so He can restore you in honor and grace and bring you to Himself.
