She invited the devil into her home so what did she expect?
Smart people are smart enough to set the thermostat themselves.
Unplug those devices and it will be quiet again.
I hope they don’t have a camera attached to a computer so the hacker can’t see them what they do.
The perp might find that none of my weapons can be hacked. (However several of them are very good at hacking)
Tell me again why I should want this stuff in my house.
That’s why I like my dumb home.
Geez, it took them 24 hours to unplug the router? Seriously?
They should go back to flip phones (or at least smart phones that are only accessing via cell towers, slower but a lot safer - data plans are cheap enough) and have only a hard wire net connection. You can live with walking to the room in the house with the computer........ Or you can be terrified because you are too ignorant to unplug the router.
Another way around this is to get a good & fast data plan for the cell phone and tether the laptop to it if they need a mobile computer connection.
You mean password as my password isn’t safe?
I removed the “smart thermostat” when I purchased this current house & put in the retro Honeywell thermostat...works just fine.
My neighbor has been fighting his “smart thermostat” since he put it in...he can’t make it work right.
If you have the internet in your home, if you have a cable modem or router, you are vulnerable.
