Franco is buried at Valley of the Fallen, which is an enormous, cross shaped church, carved into the side of a mountain near Madrid.
When I was there, I noticed the the big toes of the statues surrounding the Cross on top of the mountain, were considerably larger than my six foot tall self. (Plus, one feels like an ant going through those enormous church doors.
It’s a very impressive place.
Even seen from the distant highway, it’s a very impressive sight.
