As an aside: When is that blasted Horowitz report finally going to drop? I'm ready for some perp walks, but instead we have this drama. I've said for a long time that only a good offense can with this game, and, amazingly, the Dems/MSM seem to have been able to put Team Trump back on defense on this Ukraine story.

The NPC Democratic congress-critters and apparatchiks have the script to operate off of now. The Dems, who realize that most normal Americans view them as pretty much Communist scum, found 7 members who have served in the military to lead the charge against Trump. Expect to hear that fact-oid over and over again: These brave Dems served in the Military!!! (Trump did not.).

Their views, as centrist lawmakers from previously Republican-held districts where Trump has been popular, hold sway with party leadership.
... and national security, that may refer to part of the influx of ex CIA employees who made a concerted effort to create a CIA aligned hive in the House last election cycle, presumably to counter Horowitz's upcoming (we hope!) revelations of the CIA's lead role in fabricating the fake Russia scandal in an attempt to bring down Trump. Which, Tom FItton of Judicial Watch has said he now believes was based on 100% fake stories created by the CIA.
