Virginia precedent says that D.C. should be reduced to one square mile instead of 100 square miles. Virginia has already altered the 100 square miles by absorbing that part of D.C. that is in Virginia.

Maryland should do the same and take over political jurisdiction of most of D.C. Maryland would gain delegates for the House of Representatives.

The District of Columbia was never intended to be an independent State!
