All times are EDT
If you want to start early one can watch the Pac 12 After Dark Friday game as Utah visits the TrojansRomans. These Friday night games have been a killer for Pac 12's playoff contending teams. Utah at this point is the Pac 12's best shot at a playoff team.
The noon window has a Big 10 = 14 match up as the Jim Harbaugh Fightin' Khakis pay a visit to Camp Randall. Wisconsin has absolutely obliterated their non-conference cup cakes not giving up one point in 2 games. Michigan despite all the hype around offensive guru Josh Gattis are still same ole Michigan. Army's undersized lineman more than held their own against Michigan. Not a good sign going against The Badgers dairy filled bulked up linemen.
I am sure DFWGator will be watching Tennessee play against Florida @ Gainesville. What was once a prime time game is now relegated to the noon window and the Gators are 2 TD favorites. The days of Spurrier going against Manning are just a faint memory.
The most compelling mid-afternoon game is Auburn visiting College Station. True freshman Auburn QB Bo Nix has been a bit shaky compared to the other freshmen QB receiving national attention.
The big time prime time match up is Notre Dame paying a return visit to UGa. UGa beating Notre Dame at South BendButtigieg's Armpit in retrospect announced to the nation UGa has climbed up to be a top flight team. I loved how UGa's Pack took over Notre Dame stadium and turned it red. Las Vegas is screaming Notre Dame is a fraud team again as UGa is a 2 TD and a hook favorite. That is a massive line for a suppose match up between two Top 10 teams.
If that game gets out of hand, The Fightin' Mullets will be playing Texas at the same time
Any workaround to the c*cklock that Pac12 Network has on Husky and Cougar games? Talk about a cabal . . .
The University of Minnesota (my alma mater) is on bye week. But no doubt, I’ll find some other worthy games to watch.
My preference on Saturdays is to not watch the headline games - but to watch the teams that you normally don’t get to see often.
Oklahoma is on a bye, I’ll still be tuning in to the games you mentioned. Agree with the Bo Nix assessment. He doesn’t impress me compared to a lot of the other freshman QB’s around the country. Georgia should roll Notre Dame. Wiscy should beat Michigan.
Oklahoma State at Texas should be another good game. OSU has a decent freshman QB (Sanders). Seen him make some really nice throws, rolling to his left, pivoting and firing a laser down the left sideline across his body. Kid has a lot of potential. Not sure what to make of that game. OSU has won in Austin the last several times. They’re gonna have to be able to run the ball or Texas will stomp them. Not convinced OSU will be able to run though. Hubbard is a nice back for OSU but I see Texas loading the box and making the OSU freshman QB beat them with his arm.
UCF at Pitt could be interesting. Probably one of the last challenges (on paper) to UCF going undefeated this year. Pitt dropping a close one last week on the road to 13th ranked Penn. UCF coming of a big win at home vs Stanford and now has to go on the road. Pitt losing a close game last week on the road to 13th ranked Penn State. Pitt is 11.5 point dogs but feels like this game could have some upset potential.
I’;; be watching the SEC games and Utah State vs. Colorado. The Utes win, take the points.
And UConn will be playing the Hoosiers (not in basketball, but in football). Our freshman Canadian QB will be starting his second game... Go Huskies...
What a crazy ending to the Tulane-Houston game!
Can’t believe Tulane came back! Houston was blowing them out, only thing that kept Tulane in it at all first half was that INT. As well as Houston missing a wide open receiver for a TD, having to settle for a FG attempt and clanking it. Houston seemed like they started getting desperate 2nd half and was just heaving the ball downfield. And they couldn’t tackle for crap. Looked like an OU Mike Stoops defense.
Not sure Dana Holgerson knows what half time adjustments are. Same thing happened to Houston against Washington State.
Pitt ends UCF pipedream of a national championship. Lol.
If there is a ping list add me Thanks
Go Dawgs
