My 6th grade English teacher at Lincoln Elementary (Dayton,OH), Mrs Erball, taught us sentence diagramming - she was quite the stickler in getting it right. As I moved thru HS to Grad school to my senior corporate life, I certainly appreciated her strict teaching.

As I got older/seasoned, I kinda created my own versions for posting on forums, etc. At a certain point, even my handwriting went from an “A” in the 5th grade to barely legible.

Me, too. I chalk that up to typing throughout my whole career. The old, “Use it or lose it”, thing. My dad had elegant cursive handwriting until the day he died at 85 years ole. (He didn’t type much.)
