Note that the courtroom is almost completely empty because the Deep State players did not attend today's hearing with Horowitz; they didn't want to hear what he had to say about the IG report and they didn't want to use their right to ask him questions for 5 minutes.
I only caught the last 10 minutes of the hearing but based on what I heard, will definitely watch the rest.
RE the 10 minutes I watched: Meadows and Jordan were asking Horowitz about the IG report; Jordan confirmed with Horowitz that although the IG report documented matters of concern (e.g., Comey, McCabe, Clapper), others in congress had NOT asked him to follow up with further discussion or had questions.
Rep. Meadows said that today's hearing includes a referral to Horowitz to investigate inconsistency's in Comey's testimony vs. report. Another FREeper asked if a referral will be forwarded without the support of Chairman Nadler. If not, then Meadow's assertion is meant to educate the public further regarding the corruption in DC; white hats - pushing to elevate information the Deep State is trying to hide.
This is turning out to be as much of an embarrassment for Nadler as the Moulder hearing was. It’s clear he’s got nothing.
Isn’t it a little early for Horowitz.
The AG hasn’t released the report on FISA abuse. So all they have to talk about is Comey’s leaking.

The Deep STaters weren’t present so they can’t say they already talked to him. The FISA abuse will have it’s own hearing so no one can say they already gave a hearing on that issue.

I’m puzzled. I thought DOJ already decided they wouldn’t try to prosecute Comey.
Article at link reiterates the old news that supposedly the DOJ won’t prosecute.

No - the MSM is already distorting the facts. Today’s hearing is separate and Meadows said a rsult of the hearing is that he’s referring COmey to the IG.

I think the article is distorting the truth. I just watched this morning’s congressional hearing with Horowitz in which Rep. Meadows said that the outcome of today’s hearing is that Comey is referred to Horowitz and Horowitz acknowledged that.
So the article provides old news at the top and then white washes today’s request for referral:
I’ll put a quote below but Meadows did not ask Horowitz to “look into allegations”; Meadows said a result of today’s hearing is that he is referring Comey to the IG re the content of the IG’s report. Here’s the white washed excerpt from the very bottom of the article:
“Rep. Mark Meadows, North Carolina Republican, asked Mr. Horowitz if he would look into allegations Mr. Comey lied during his 2017 Senate testimony. Mr. Meadows said he believes there were “numerous” times where the ex-FBI director’s testimony did not match revelations included in the inspector general report.”

More distortion from the article:
“Mr. Comey in May 2017 asked a law professor friend to share with The New York Times a memo detailing his conversations with President Trump in order to pressure the Justice Department to open an investigation of the president.”
This is what Comey says but the article states it as fact. In the hearing itself today - Jordan notes that Comey’s statement that he said leaked to open an investigation contrasts with his conduct reported in the IG report.
The MSM has really put up a hall of mirrors.

Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows have several examples where Comey’s congressional testimony conflicts with the IG report that was just released. They will formally report those conflicting statements to the IG for review, and the IG said he will review them. Seems fairly straight forward to me. I mean, Jordan and Meadows could not have known about the conflict before the IG released his report, right?
Gotcha. So screwballs like me are confusing “referral to the IG” with “referral to the DOJ”, right?

The Deep Staters didn’t attend. Kind of interesting to see what the good guys are up against - surrounded by bad guys employing every method at their disposal to distort, hide, down play, conceal etc.
