Never had an issue with it before. But it may just be I am not using it against heavy deposits of anything.

I think that you are incorrect. In this case, we have a federal law concerning automobile emissions. California wants a waiver so that it can put in its own standards. All that is happening here is that the feds are saying that you don’t qualify for the waiver.

As to the purpose of the commerce clause, it is to ensure that commerce is not impeded by different standards in every state. As it is, every bottle maker that sells in both California and in the rest of the country is forced by the California standard to make substantial investments in research, development, and parts, which costs are pushed through to consumers in every single state. So what you would have us do is allow California to increase costs to consumers everywhere else. We could have kept the Articles of Confederation and have that system.

Not necessarily. Remember, President Trump has rebuilt the 9th.

I fled California in 2015 for Tennessee. Best thing I ever did in my life.

We have no emissions testing in my county.

I just renewed my car registration: $65.

No state income tax.

No Water Police.

No Delta Smelt.

Amazingly, we have an opera company and a symphony—both excellent. We had neither where I lived in SoCal.

I could type all day about the reasons I’m happy.

The bad news is that celebutards have discovered Nashville. It’s becoming the new ATL. The country music people are fine; but, the lib lowlife have taken it over. Let’s hope the cancer doesn’t spread.

Oh yeah, I wanted to add one to my list of reasons why I’m happy I left California.

Guns are totally ok here. You can keep a loaded firearm in your car without a carry permit. Tennessee extends the Castle Doctrine to include your vehicle.

Talk about common sense.

Because UT med school is here, we have an enormous number of medical facilities. It makes my heart happy to know that women (and men) working nights in hospitals can protect themselves in their cars. I say this as someone who once had a guy try to get into my car at a stoplight (I looked both ways, blew the light, gunned it and ran over his foot).

People talk about guns openly. You can go to the gun store, buy a gun, wait a few minutes for the background check, and leave with your purchase.

The range is about five minutes from my house. They hold every class you could want, on the regular.

I just moved down to TN in 2016 from PA. Best decision ever. The liberals are like cockroaches, except the coachroaches are cleaner and actually serve a purpose. I had thought about moving closer to Nashville at one point, just because we enjoy going to the Opry, but figured it was best to keep Nashville within driving distance and stay more rural. Plus, I like the mountains more. I also like the Lifetime Concealed Carry permit too.

“Once you cross the border out of California, you are okay, no cancer worries from the stuff that the rest of the country uses.”

Damn, somebody forgot tell that to my body..... We left CA in 2005 . Caught a nasty case of skin cancer in 2008.

I put some ointment on it. I,m cured as far as I know. /s

At least you don’t have to worry about the chemicals getting you since you aren’t in California.

Newsome and other CA politicians are raising their voices, saying that this is a “states’ rights” issue.

They will keep repeating this till it catches on, but consider this: There is another “state” involved in this scam regarding special gasoline...that is Michigan.

If Michigan, a state with rights, finds it too costly to satisfy CA standards, they have a “right” to refuse to produce the autos.

Two Way street.

What part of Tennessee, neighbor? I’m in Farragut (Knoxville). Love it!

Supposedly, Knox County is super red. I can hardly put into words what it felt like on Election Night 2016 to see my vote actually count for the first time in my entire life. I was so moved. And the pride I felt to see my new home state be one of the first to be called for future President Trump; it was so joyful.

The people here are absolutely lovely. I was surprised at the quality of services here; things that matter to me, like finding a new hairstylist turned out to be non problems. And the quality of medical care is stellar. Far better than what I had in SoCal.

You can really see the effects of non liberal policies—jobs are super plentiful, businesses are thriving, and gas is cheap.

I could not be happier.

When I’m not on the road, I’m over in Oak Ridge. We ended up here due to relocation for work, but looking at some possible land choices to get a little more space.

There is lots to like about TN, and I jokingly told my co-workers when I first moved down here that I tried to lock the gate at the Mason-Dixon line to prevent any people from NY or NJ moving down. I came down from PA to escape the invasion of NY’ers.

You really are a neighbor!

Today, I found reason #432,176 why I am happy I fled SoCal for Tennessee.

I just bought a used car and needed tags. Unlike California, I discovered this is done via the County Clerk, rather than the DMV. Huh?

So, I went to the office in Farragut and was astounded. You just amble in and a civil servant invites you to sit at a desk and does your paperwork.

What the hell is *that*?

No, no, no, no. Everybody knows that you pack a lunch and register your car at the DMV.

Unless, of course, you’re in the country illegally. There are special license and registration lanes offering expedited service for illegals. It’s the least we can do.
