I'm not reading anyone is celebrating just yet...they appear to all be on tenderhooks.
But if the Arab-Israeli population turned out in greater numbers this time than in April, Netanyahu will have himself to blame. He really went out of his way to make them the enemy ... seeming to forget they're Israeli citizens with the right to vote.
Netanyahu fought to have cameras in predominately Arab-Israel precincts (he lost); publicly claimed fraud was rampant in these communities and on Sunday he demanded a meeting with the Election Commission (they told him to put his complaint in writing, as all political parties have the right to do; Netanyahu did not); and on Tuesday he proclaimed "the Arabs are stealing the election".
Netanyahu ratcheted up the rhetoric from his "the Arabs are voting in droves" video from the election in April.
Not a wise strategic move.
