LOL. Probably a reboot reboot reboot. :D
The BSG rebooted was WAY better than the original series. The early part was awesome. They did seem to run out of ideas and wander a bit in the middle. Then the ending was pretty good.
The original series had a good idea to begin with, but it was a very cheesy star wars knockoff.
Babylon 5 had a few episodes that didn’t work but by and large, it was excellent.
Where the hell is good sci fi like that nowadays?
JMS wrote almost every episode and ran most of the day to day as well.
And here comes NBC to take a big old SJW squat on this!
They can't allow any masterpiece of television to exist without making "corrections" to accommodate whatever beliefs are currently trendy.
There was supposed to be another Babylon 5 movie in 2014, but it seems it fell through.
Saved by the Bell, featuring original cast members Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley
Elizabeth Berkley will be a Showgirl.....
The 2nd Battlestar Galactica was all drama and depressing and had that irritating drumbeat. No characters anyone would like. Kinda what would be done with Star Trek STD.
Funny that you mention Buck Rogers.
Few people on our street had TVs around (+/-)1950. A nice neighbor lady would invite all us little kids (about 10) into her house, with a/c in window, on Summer afternoons to watch Buck Rogers and gave us Kool Ade and cookies.
The rocket ships looked like plastic toys and the exhaust looked like sparklers from July 4th.
Lol. Yes, the movie wasn’t as good as the book. Just like a couple of the Steven King books, Salem’s Lot and the Shinning, there are two movie versions of Dune — one on the big screen and one made for TV.
The originals are better in all cases. Maybe because the newer movies seem contrived and an attempt to make more money from the book or series. As Mel Brooks put it in the Space Balls movie — “Space Balls 2, the Search for More Money.”

I have been a member since 2003. You have me beat by several years. A founding member?
Babylon 5 is in Prime, now I ‘binge watched’ all 5 seasons. Some of the early episodes that “didn’t work” were foreshadowing (pardon the pun) and make sense a season later if you remember them. The story is coherent from beginning to end.
Pre 1998 I had my own web site that did not have a forum.
I was not a founding member.
I enjoyed the “Colony” show for what it was, but it was not in the same league as Babylon 5 or the second BSG.
Cool. Wonder how many posts that you have made over the years.
Probably thousands—what is interesting is that I am more of a “conspiracy theory” type than most folks around here—don’t know how many I have converted to my way of thinking—but hopefully I convinced folks to read a few books they would not have read or consider viewpoints they may not have considered.
I have also created many word or phrase “memes” over the years that have later appeared in a wide range of publications (without attribution :-) ). It is clear that all sorts of folks are lurking here—and paying attention.
_That_ is a reward all by itself.
I remember discussions about pizzagate here on FR and how the Clintons were being accused of pedophilia. Well as we learn more about Epstein and Bill Clinton's possible “many trips” to the pedo-island, the original pizzagate conspiracy theory may have had some truth to it.
And will this be based off the original series?
Or the glorified soft core soap opera syfy channel series?
I’d love a reboot that was more like the original, as if.
But wait a minute, ANOTHER streaming service? So this is just a cynical ploy into hooking sci-fan fans in for 10 dollars a month like CBS with their so called “Star Trek” garbage.
These people are begging to be pirated.
