Yeah, the worms will eat everything you just composted, as long as it has stopped being hot.
A Red Wiggler eats about a 50% equivalent of it’s bodyweight daily.
If your plants like ordinary compost, then they jump up and down for the same stuff, once processed by worms.
They run away from light, so scrape the stuff off the top, and they’ll go down lower.
At our local fair, a representative of the dept. of Agriculture presented a demo about a type of destructive Jumping Worm which is difficult to distinguish from night crawlers....distinguished by response to being disturbed....the worm jumps wildly when disturbed. This worms castings destroy the soil nutrients. Nothing grows in the jumping worm castings. Trees die where the jumping worm settles.
