Tickets and food prices are ridiculous.

Yes. NASCAR has done the same thing. When I lived in Maryland 2000 - 2012, I knew people who had gone to every race at Dover and Richmond for years. In about 2010 they stopped going because ticket prices had gotten too high.

Took my nieces and nephews, kids to the A’s game this summer.

1. Facility was great. Not top of the line, but not bad.
2. Families 425 - Ticket pricing for families. I bought 10 tix at the gate for $104 and it came with a $5 food voucher.
3. People - no vagrancy, well policed. (THIS IS OAKLAND!!)
4. Staff - helpful, gracious
5. The Treehouse - a low key place for people to come and enjoy the came PLUS watch other events, play ping pong, foosball, eat, etc. Entrance? Free. Free to hang out there. It was very, very nice.

And the A’s, with one of the lowest payrolls in baseball, is poised to visit the playoffs yet again.

My current favorite sports team, just above the Yankees.

A very BIG reason for the losses was that NASCAR started telling their SOUTHERN fans to NOT wave our REBEL FLAG at the races. = It’s called: SHOOTING YOURSELF IN THE FOOT.
