Growl is not coming back.

He is not in shape for it....and the way it looks today, the pats don’t “need” him.

Tickets and food prices are ridiculous

Not for the diehard suckers. They’ll pay anything.

2020 season. They are in the process of building the stadium. Hockey seems to do well there.

If you continue to support the NFL on Free Republic, you will have to purchace some NFL INDULGENCES.

The Catholic church sells them or wait until the next Freepathon.

Each NFL INDULGENCE entitles the owner repentence for a year of Pro NFL posts while the rest of us know football players are hate America scum. :-)

Even before getting outraged by the kneeling I was watching less and less football. The older I get I find the less I want to spend beautiful Fall days inside in front of the TV.

Rumor kicking around town is that Roethlisberger’s career is done. He apparently needs Tommy John surgery. By the time he goes through that, rest and rehab he’ll be 39. He may find it’s not worth it.

I wonder why they have so many unexpectedly empty seats. My guess: too little emphasis on social justice. After all, most of us go to sporting events to be lectured to about our privilege, and they’re not delivering enough of that.

Good comments.

Many former fans have discovered that wasting an entire Sunday watching football is not the best use of their precious time. Better to get out and experience something rewarding and healthful.

Just In: Ben Roethlisberger out for the year.

Even the cheaper seats to these NFL stadium games are $150.
So, two seats, parking, drinks, food = $500

I will watch it on tv.

As bad as the Dolphins are, I can’t blame their fans.

The NFL was just as culpable in the kneeling BS as the players were, and showed their contempt for the average American and this country’s heritage.

Now they are spending millions on this asinine social justice crap.

They will never get me back.

Besides, the games are boring as hell, too many commercials and it’s over-officiated.

Done forever.

Since the kneeling began I have only watched NFL football under two circumstances:

1) I was a guest in somebody else’s home and that is what they had on.

2) I have a relative who plays in the league, and felt obligated to watch when he was in a playoff game.

First steps on the road to recovery:

Admit the outrageous discrimination against qualified white players.

Kick the thugs out — starting with Antonio Brown. The good ones like Matt Slater can stay — why don’t the Pats ever give him a chance to do anything but play special teams?

As I just posted, the scuttlebutt here in the Burgh is that he needs Tommy John surgery. That means he'll be out next season too. Then if he wants to go through rehab and try to play again he'll be 39 by then.

Brutality in the regular season doesn't mean anything unless it translates into SB success. To wit:

Took my nieces and nephews, kids to the A’s game this summer.

1. Facility was great. Not top of the line, but not bad.
2. Families 425 - Ticket pricing for families. I bought 10 tix at the gate for $104 and it came with a $5 food voucher.
3. People - no vagrancy, well policed. (THIS IS OAKLAND!!)
4. Staff - helpful, gracious
5. The Treehouse - a low key place for people to come and enjoy the came PLUS watch other events, play ping pong, foosball, eat, etc. Entrance? Free. Free to hang out there. It was very, very nice.

And the A’s, with one of the lowest payrolls in baseball, is poised to visit the playoffs yet again.

My current favorite sports team, just above the Yankees.
