I wonder how much Corker got for pushing that abomination thru the Senate
Wow: Strange snafu misroutes domestic US Internet traffic through China Telecom
Telecom with ties to China’s government misdirected traffic for two and a half years.
China Telecom, the large international communications carrier with close ties to the Chinese government, misdirected big chunks of Internet traffic through a roundabout path that threatened the security and integrity of data passing between various providers backbones for two and a half years, a security expert said Monday. It remained unclear if the highly circuitous paths were intentional hijackings of the Internets Border Gateway Protocol or were caused by accidental mishandling.
For almost a week late last year, the improper routing caused some US domestic Internet communications to be diverted to mainland China before reaching their intended destination, Doug Madory, a researcher specializing in the security of the Internets global BGP routing system, told Ars. As the following traceroute from December 3, 2017 shows, traffic originating in Los Angeles first passed through a China Telecom facility in Hangzhou, China, before reaching its final stop in Washington, DC. The problematic route, which is visualized in the graphic above, was the result of China Telecom inserting itself into the inbound path of Verizon Asian Pacific.
The routing snafu involving domestic US Internet traffic coincided with a larger misdirection that started in late 2015 and lasted for about two and a half years, Madory said in a blog post published Monday. The misdirection was the result of AS4134, the autonomous system belonging to China Telecom, incorrectly handling the routing announcements of AS703, Verizon’s Asia-Pacific AS. The mishandled routing announcements caused several international carriersincluding Telias AS1299, Tatas AS6453, GTTs AS3257, and Vodafones AS1273to send data destined for Verizon Asia-Pacific through China Telecom, rather than using the normal multinational telecoms.
For the next 30 months or so, a large amount of traffic that used Verizons AS703 improperly passed through AS4134 in mainland China first.
Nation's Murderous Psychopaths Undecided On Whether Theyll Follow New Gun Laws
WASHINGTON, D.C.Democrats such as Beto ORourke have proposed a number of new gun laws, such as universal background checks, a ban on magazines that hold more than ten bullets, and possibly even a mandatory buyback of some weapons such as AR-15s. While these laws are likely to be a headache for law-abiding gun owners, the nations murderous psychopaths arent quite certain how the laws will affect them.
The background check sounds concerning, explained deranged murderer Steve Mason, known as Murdering Steve to his friends. I would definitely fail it since Im a well-known psychopath. But Ive never actually purchased a gun through a gun-dealer; I just steal all my murder weapons. And so far no one has proposed a background check on theft, so I think Im good.
Jake Foster, who is planning a shooting spree, expressed similar concerns about the ban on high-capacity magazines. Having to do a shooting spree and reloading after every tenth shot does sound irritating, said Foster. Despite the law, I might just use a high-capacity magazine anyway. I guess the question is whether Im willing to deal with a possible fine on top of the multiple counts of murder.
One law murderous psychopaths did seem excited about was the AR-15 buyback. If they offer a lot of money for my AR-15, it could be pretty worthwhile, said nutjob Craig McGee. Then I can use that money to buy more guns just as lethal... but through the black market, of course. Gotta avoid those background checks.

Personally, I think several crooked pols (and mullas) became instant billionaires on this deal.
the dead give away:
Who’s ever heard of an international financial transaction in today’s age of digital money being settled with pallets of untraceable cash?
It occurs to me ... Barr wasn’t AG when Judge K. was smeared during confirmation hearings - seems that the left just gave him an opportunity to review things.
Here's something for ya, when I saw this story yesterday I thought it had to be a joke. Imagine all those people in the same room.
Character witnesses LOL it's too ludicrous
I guess they would all be easy to arrest that way.
@Snowden continues his press spree by giving an interview to Brian Williams of PMSNBC and warns that cell phones are continuously doing things.
Doing what kind of things, I wonder. Sending all info to China?
Q was not very pleased with Snowden, and I remember drops which appeared to be addressed to him, giving him a choice. Do you remember any kind of resolution in that regard? What is Snowden up to now, I wonder.
Thanks for reminding me of that. This may be just the opening needed.
What the hell?? The news just gets more and more wild.
I want some Q!
Glad you posted that. Out amongst the trees that message is sorely needed.

Here’s Cates’ unrolled twitter version of the article. A bit more informal. Not copying images due to html botheration, there are only a couple anyway.

NEW COLUMN ALERT!!!
Without Accountability, There Can Never Be Trust In Our Government
Perhaps the most important column I have ever written.
RT liberally far and wide, hither and yon!
Without Accountability, There Can Never Be Trust in Our Government
Commentary It was announced on Sept. 13 that Department of Justice Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz has written ...
While many are out there selling the cynicism that they don’t think Barr is going to allow any prosecutions, that he’s now part of the cover up and no matter what Horowitz or Durham or whoever recommends or refers to him, he’s going to nothing...I’ve actually done my homework.
So here’s my reaction when people insist to me Barr will let all the SpyGate plotters walk away free.
Trump & his hand picked people haven’t been carefully rolling this all out over the past year and a half, ending with the big report & the big declassification so we can all fully see what they did so...Trump stands there like an impotent idiot while Barr lets them walk away.
Some people just can’t take “Yes!” for an answer, but don’t worry.
I’m going to be here to hold their hands and talk them through it as the indictments are unsealed and the arrests begin.
Remember: most of the people who went into these cynical, defeatist narratives long ago did so because....why?
Because Trump & his team didn’t go about doing this the way THEY THOUGHT he should have.
They **disagree** with the strategy.
So they’ve spent 2 years selling the ‘massive cover up’ narrative while I’ve patiently explaining the obvious:
You can’t have the key evidence until the investigations are completed and the classified documents are declassified.
Which is the point we’ve now arrived at.
But no matter how many times you explain the obvious to people, they’re emotionally committed at this point to a narrative that Trump is doing **everything wrong**, he’s appointed the wrong people, he’s doing nothing, he’s lost already, because he’s not doing it THEIR way.
To hear some tell it, the trigger should have been pulled on this thing back in 2017.
Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Brennan, Clapper, all of these guys should have been arrested long ago.
Let’s be clear: that would have been a banzai charge straight into the guns of the enemy.
Like it or not, agree with it or not, Trump & Co. decided against the banzai charge in 2017.
You don’t have to like it. You just have to understand the strategy they adopted instead.
Trump’s now positioned for a presidential campaign like nothing this country has ever seen.
All this that we’ve been waiting for, the declassification, the public release of the IG report, the referrals being made, the indictments being unsealed, arrests and perp walks, it’s going down over the next year
WHILE TRUMP IS RUNNING FOR REELECTION.
You can bet over the next year in the buildup to Nov. 2020 Trump will be regaling the massive audiences at these rallies, both in the stadiums & watching on TV with the latest blow-by-blow developments in the SpyGate scandal.
He’s going to hold these rallies at a brisker pace the closer November 2020 gets, sometimes he might do 3 a week.
Meanwhile Horowitz, Barr, Durham and others will continue doing their work.
Trump will keep the national spotlight firmly fixed on the results.
The legacy media will desperately try to spin all of this as it goes down, presenting the SpyGate crooks as heroic and noble public servants, whistle blowers singled out as part of a vicious vendetta by a Soviet stooge of a President.
But Horowitz & Barr & Durham & other US Attorney’s running these prosecutions will have all the EVIDENCE and Trump will use these rallies to keep pointing to it.
I’ve already foreseen how all this is going to go down.
Media Prepare Massive Public Relations Campaign to Spin Spygate
The Fake News Media will launch a massive PR campaign to try to spin how the public looks at SpyGate.
AND TRUMP WILL MASTERFULLY COUNTER THEM by using his rallies and his Twitter and all the other methods he’s used the past 3 years to drive the MSM insane.
.
I heard a great rant by him the other day, a real rip snortin’ barn burner. Made me think about the fine line that man has had to tread to stay on the air throughout this progressive era. They’ve tried hard to get him, but (Like PTrump) I think he fights back.
