Subject: Travel pool report #26-Trump Tower arrival

The president’s motorcade made its way (quickly) up the FDR drive, turning on to First Avenue at midtown and driving past the UN, where he’s spending much of the week.

Barricades lined the city streets, as did curious onlookers, who shot video and photos on their phones. The motorcade crossed town via 52nd Street then took a right on Madison Avenue, where at times, it was required to weave left and right around police cars and motorcycles.

Police presence, always intense during UNGA week, was especially dense in midtown near the Trump Tower. There were few pedestrians walking the streets around Trump Tower.

The motorcade arrived at Trump Tower at 10:05pm — more than one hour behind schedule. The pool held in the vans and not see the president arriving home.

Interesting that pool report #26 says that POTUS arrived at Trump Tower at 10:06 pm “more than an hour behind schedule” after writing about so much congestion of fire trucks, police cars, etc on the Manhattan roads. It makes it seem like the trip in the Beast took an hour. If you look back at pool report #25, however, the trip took only 17 minutes which gives a very different visual image. I will be looking for later propaganda media references to claims that Trump causes traffic jams in NYC.
