A college student allegedly placed a noose in a residence hall elevator, authorities say. Hate-crime charges followed.
Andrew M. Smith, 19, was arrested Monday night and charged with a felony hate crime and disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.
Residence hall staff members reported seeing the noose in an elevator in a public part of the building around 1 a.m. Sunday, Illinois Public Media reported. Other students reported finding the noose early Sunday, according to the Chicago Tribune.

I have to admire the reporter... she managed to write the article without referring to the trannyman as a ‘she.’ I wonder if this is because the reporter still has a grip on reality or if it was because in this one case the tranny was doing something politically incorrect and the reporter or editors did not want to lay the blame for a hate crime on a p.c. ‘she.’
