I have tried to find any crime committed. Apparently, she gave the bribe money to a charitable organization which was a front for the man who orchestrated the whole affair. Then she claimed a tax deduction for the charitable contribution.

The people indicted in this whole fraud were guilty of money laundering and tax evasion.

I agree. Our entire college admissions system is a scam that enrolls unqualified applicants at the expense of more qualified ones who don't get in. As far as I can tell, Huffman's greatest transgression was not in paying bribes but rather paying bribes inappropriately through the wrong channels.

But she's undoubtedly a liberal so there will be howls to lock her up for decades.
