Not according to the FReepers here, who ridicule them. The community college in my hometown used to have an excellent reputation. It was started in the 1960’s, and the instructors there were very stable, and had very high academic standards, but unfortunately, having all began at the same time, most retired at the same time, which necessitated an all new faculty, pretty much all at once. No idea of its current quality.
I think you mean “there are many fine community college’s for the children of middle class and poor children”, the upper crust deserve the best that bribery can buy.
