LOL! My brother had a wonderful Doberman, gentle and obedient, who did crave the odd bit of non-food items now and then. He once ate an entire apron. The deed was discovered, however, when my brother noticed one of the apron sashes dangling from the dogs rear end. Unpleasant a task as it was, he then proceeded to pull a fairly intact apron from the dog’s behind. How the apron went through his entire digestive tract relatively unscathed, remains a scientific mystery, which died with the dog, when he expired, several years later.
They are adorable, sweet natured dogs, aren’t they? Ours loves the hard white parts of lettuce. As soon as I remove a head of lettuce from the fridge, she’s right there, under my feet, wagging her tail.
In her dotage, now, an occasional tiny, almost imperceptible growl escapes her lips, if our other dog commits some offense against her. It always tickles us, as if the few tiny crooked teeth she has left, could cause any damage. Apparently, he doesn’t realize that, though, because he always backs off.
My wolf, 165 lbs, swallowed a hamburger bun and all in about 2 seconds off the table. Then he would stand up on 2 legs and dance in circles begging for more food. He was taller that the frig when standing like that.
Evidently the trainer and my sister never taught the dog to not steal food from tables or the kitchen counter.
Last Christmas we were all seated in the dining room having dinner when I saw the damn dog leave the kitchen with a loaf of bread in its mouth...........
Every time she has family over for whatever reason, the dog continues to pull that crap..........
I told her that she wasted her time and money on its training and if she really wanted it trained, train it to hunt.
It is hunting. Competing in the same environmental niche has your sister. It’s winning!
