5G is not progress unless you consider supporting chinese business progress.

Each new version of wireless is faster and more powerful. Eventually, and soon, it will be the standard, Chinese influence or not. Besides, with Trump, the Chinese are dealing with someone who's not about to let them take over our technology, much less our means of communications.

Google is there, and will be there, unless by some miracle the government is able to put them out of business. Myself, I do as little with Google stuff as I can. The only thing I use from them is Android (because they are the writers of the OS), and search (but only for stuff that I might not otherwise find with Bing). I don't do Google nor Facebook nor Twitter, nor any social media (other than FR, which is not really social media).
