My late husband, an architect, believed that the buildings failed because code changes were granted to allow the “open floor plan”. The structure of the builing was very different than existing high rises.

Also, there were changes granted regarding the type of fire-retardant material protecting the steel on the exterior of the building. Steel loses it’s tensile strength when heated. Most people who live in the rust belt remember seeing melted steel when watching the steel factory at night.

So insulation failure, steel loss of strength, pancaking floors, accumulating load hitting floors below - an engineering failure to plan for big planes full of fuel hitting the building and exploding.

Another theory to consider - I wonder how the citizens would react if the above were the actual cause. How many lawsuits would be filed? How many millions/billions would be paid out? How many government people who got paid off to change the building codes would go to jail?

Just stuff to consider.

The building had a mixed bag of insulation. Asbestos on lower floors, phased out by health concerns. Given the amount of heat energy involved, I doubt the structures would have stood even if the cores were 100% asbestos insulated. Would have stood longer, but not stood.

Your hubby may be right on about the open floor plan. Good question if older style design (e.g., Empire State Building) would have taken the heat. Lots of fuel in those planes, fire burned a long time, and as you point out the mechanical properties of the steel are affected MUCH by elevated temperature.

I remember the Q team telling us about the poor quaility of steel China was selling us and was putting things at risk. That made me wonder where the steel for the Twin Towers came from. I went to the MIT 9/11 report and while they mention what you had written, it doesn't state where the steel came from. I did several searches and couldn't find anything about it.

Now I did find out who bought the steel after the towers went down and that was China, hmmmm. I also found out who was in charge of building and getting the materials for the Twin Towers and that was cabal puppetmaster, David Rockefeller and his group. It would be interesting to know where that steel came from since the Q team warned us how poor China's steel was and our corruptocrats allowed them to sell it to us. So was China just making a purchase for the steel afterwards or were they trying to take back the evidence.

Some more things to ponder.
