Two months on since they met in the Gold Cup final, the U.S. men's national team (USMNT) and Mexico revive their rivalry on Friday night.
Jonathan dos Santos scored the only goal of the game as El Tri regained the trophy on U.S. soil.
The two teams haven't played since and will in all likelihood look vastly different on Friday, with USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter and his counterpart Gerardo Martino set to refresh their rosters.

What happened to Germany?
Looks like the Dutch are back.
"We kind of panicked, and those are things we have to adjust to in the heat of the situation because obviously Mexico is a very pressure-oriented team," right back Reggie Cannon said. "That's something we have to learn to work around. It's not easy task to play out of the back."The breakouts were too slow, passes a yard or two off, runs mistimed, decisions slow. The mental part of the game isn't fast enough, either.
But, of course, this was a friendly. A meaningless game where the score wasn't as important as the progress. To hear Berhalter tell it, Friday night was a step in the right direction.
"Our focus was to keep trying to focus on making progress as group," Berhalter said in a postmatch news conference. "Being brave with the ball. Looking for holes. There were times when it was good. And times when it wasn't good."
