Thanks. I have run across Dan Carlin’s podcast before. However, I didn’t want to pay for it. On second thought, I think I should shell out a few bucks and check it out.
I do know that whenever I watch the History Channel’s show VIKINGS (which is their #1 show of all time and is actually pretty good from a historical aspect), I realize how popular a well-done show on the Mongols would be.
The new episodes stay free for a few years, then go behind a paywall. Right now for free are the series on the Persian Empire, on WW1, the first two episodes on the Japanese Empire in WW2 (3 should be out someday soon), and a couple of stray one-offs. All recommended. It’s a happy day when a new Hardcore History comes out, but it only seems to happen every 6 months or so. The guy does a lot of research going into each episode.
