The reason is they aren’t who they are. Bolsonaro’s ‘conservative’ rhetoric is fake. He is a cheap third world populist with a big mouth.
Both countries, Brazil, Puerto Rico can’t seem to catch a break from politicians who are sleazy, corrupt or just plain incompetent. We get people like that here in the states too, but there are usually ways to limit there influence or damage. Apparently, I was mistaken about Bolsonaro.
