a spirited lass, indeed
she appears to have reacted far more than I would have
but
i do not know exactly what happened
since i wasn’t there
and it is legally wrong to block someone in their car....
depending on the wording of your local laws.. it is more than a traffic violation.. its probably false imprisonment and could be charged as kidnapping, too, depending on the local laws
so it sounds like the cops should have addressed the situations of MORE people, at least the driver of the car blocking her free movements
but again, I wasn’t there so can’t say for sure
if i were blocked i would ask the blocking car driver to move and if he refused I would take careful notes and call the police on him
for sure
but if she had an urgent mission to go to...hospital or?
and you can’t know who has what kind of mission at any particular moment, we all could have an urgent place to get to
then...the blocker can expect to get what he gets
I wholeheartedly agree and would do similar if trapped in by a bunch of feral hoodlums I was not there either
“...but if she had an urgent mission to go to...hospital or?”
She has all kinds of problems here. First of all, reckless driving and assault with the car. The penalties for California assault in most cases include a fine of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000) and/or up to six (6) months in county jail. You can be charged withand convicted ofCalifornia assault even if no one was actually hurt by your behavior. She hit the one guy with the car.
I’m like you in that I wasn’t there, also. But if she had an emergency, she sure didn’t indicate it as she came back right away when she could have left the area and stayed gone without the physical confrontation. she was no longer in any way threatened if there was one at all. So unless she was attacked, and I went through the video and read reports from a few sources that said she initiated the physical attacks of the punching, she is guilty of assault right there.
She will probably get some time and dime for this one. She’s out there.
