I disagree about Type 1 diabetes. I am Type 1 and currently going back on keto. Was on it for about a year and a half. The article says it’s dangerous to severely limit carbs while taking insulin. Well, duh. My solution was to take less insulin. Carbs are the problem. Fewer carbs=lower glucose=less insulin. The best thing is that since I am not dependent on glucose for my energy, no huge up and down swings.

Congrats to you! As a Type 1, you really do have to thread the needle to get the Insulin right, so I can’t blame the author for being conservative there, considering the consequence of getting it wrong (even once), could be catastrophic.

But it’s great to hear that you’re doing well, considering your condition, and are happy with Keto. Keep it up!
